Cutting
I met a woman last night who told me about a phenomenon known as “cutting”.
If you thought bulimia was pointless and stupid, you better come up with some more derogatory words for this one.
“Pointlesser” and “stupider” are not words.
Each year, women do immeasurable damage to their credit to soothe their aching self-esteems. Apparently, they also slice themselves up. Gross.
“Cutting” is defined as self-inflicted scratches or cuts — enough to break the skin, done to assuage intense psychological distress or cope with upsetting and overwhelming emotions.
Manslation: Wah!
“Wah” is the sound a baby makes when it’s crying.
“Cutting” is no different than anything else women do when they’re emotionally overwhelmed or distressed. I once saw a woman kick the side of her car because she couldn’t figure out how to open the trunk. Is that called “toe stubbing”? Are there any signs I need to watch out for, like a refusal to wear fucking sandals?
Another time, I heard a woman complaining about men while she was eating. Here’s a tip, honey. Put down the fork and men will be nicer to you. No one pays to look at graffiti, but I’ve seen The David six times and it still drops my jaw.
When men are “emotionally overwhelmed” we do one of two things: pull an all-nighter, or punch someone in the fucking mouth — or drink like ten beers. Who cares which because all of them solve the problem. Give me one problem that can’t be solved in any of those ways. I will punch myself in the mouth if you can. Problem solved.
Speaking of solving problems, this is how to solve “cutting”: don’t pay any attention to it. I researched this “cutting” phenomenon this morning and found a bunch of websites that look like someone drew them with neon fucking crayons. That can only mean one thing: they’re targeted to teenage girls.
Teenage girls do anything and everything because they think it’s cool. That’s why they act so stupid all the time; because they think it’s cool. No human being — not even a woman, could be as dumb as a teenage girl acts. If you show them a Stop sign, they’ll ask what it tastes like. If you give them a plastic plate of spaghetti, they’ll throw it all over the floor. Give them a problem, and they’ll cut an ‘F’ in their arm for ‘Failure’.
Men are better than women.
In all seriousness, “cutting” is on the rise among teens. If you know anyone who suffers from “cutting”, then don’t pay any fucking attention to it exactly like I said.

I had an ex that would cut little tiny scratches on her weak wrists with a staple and on the outside of her thighs with her lady bic. Yes Sam, both genders of angsty teen cut themselves, but even boys do it better than girls in this case. I happen to have known both. The guy I knew who cut himself did it to one hand, right on top in the middle. He took a sharp pen or key or something else with a point and stabbed it into his hand one time. Stupid, yes, but it got the point across. Ever since then, he always kept that hand in his pocket, and if someone noticed it and asked what happened, he always silently put his hand right back in. The girls I knew who did it, did so socially.
How they worked is they would take a knife and cut huge swirling patterns of blood into their legs or arms and then show each other the next day while sharing a giggle, as if they had just been bought a new ring or something. Sometimes they’d call over random people who weren’t in their group to proudly show them their craftsmanship. And then they became pissed off as if they were surprised when someone ratted their ass out to the principal and they got suspended. Ridiculous. Also, sometimes the things they cut into their arms actually resembled things, like complete words, or the Japanese syllable for death and bad luck. (An act akin to spelling out the word “Thirteen” in arm bruises because you heard it was somehow a bad thing to say that number. Pathetic.)

I am “depressed” about feminism! There is plenty to be depressed about. The feminist ideology has taken a very ugly turn over the last number of decades. Men are angry, and to be frank, I understand their view. I disagree with most comments on here, but I am reading a lot on the issues recently and I am at least starting to understand why the hatred exists.
There is a lot of injustice brought upon men as a group and I guess this is the reaction. That said, I don’t think that resorting to hatred is the answer, since all it does is polarize women and men when they should be uniting against the common threat of such damaging ideals. Feminism thrives on the polarization of the sexes. The more the genders refuse to talk to each other, the more feminism wins.

I remember the women’s movement from the 60’s through the 80’s and how the ideal was for equal opportunity and equal pay for equal work. Those were real issues back then and have been properly rectified. The mindset of the women’s movement shifted in the late 80’s with the concept of sexual harassment and fostered a culture of victimization, and it’s caused some harm in the workplace to both men and women.
Most women who call themselves feminists are actually sexists who want a double standard. The amount of anti-male rhetoric one hears (just watch daytime TV for a sample) is unbelievable. If the same language were used 20 years ago but replacing women for men, no one would tolerate it.
I agree, there is no need for hatred. I believe Dick has said repeatedly he doesn’t hate women and I doubt very many men here do. But we do have some justifiable anger.

Did I not also state that anger in this sense is justified? Anger is not entirely a negative response when it is justified, but resorting to hatred is another matter altogether.
I find it ignorant that you keep referring to women as my “sisters” … I am not a feminist and so I don’t consider other women my “sisters” in any sense. Not all women are feminists and some are quite ready to speak out against feminism, many women have already challenged feminist ideology - women are not the enemy; their feminist ideology is.

It is impossible to debate with feminists. Their ideology is based on false premises to begin with. Many of these premises are irrational. Rational or balanced ideas are rejected it they can’t be fitted to their fantasy.
I’m more inclined to think that feminism wants license for women rather than privilege. Note their defense of any woman who behaves poorly or even criminally. They want women to be able to do anything up to and including murder or sexual assault and do it with impunity. Of course you could define it as privilege but I’m saying it’s much, much broader in scope. It is why some argue that feminists don’t want equality but rather overlordship.
Personally I have no interest in ruling over anybody but if I had to I’d prefer they were individuals who knew right from wrong, behaved accordingly and were capable of taking responsibility for their actions.
There seem to be many women who don’t like it much however. The overwhelming rejection of the label feminist that a number of surveys have picked up recently signals this. I suspect many people are cowed by feminism and political correctness. The Duke non rape case demonstrated how much power they have in public discourse. Ten percent of the Duke faculty thoroughly smeared several dozen young men over something that didn’t happen. Even now, after absolute exoneration of the accused, nobody among the remaining faculty or local environment will take the smearers to task. It’s flabergasting. They are exactly the sort of people who would thrive in the Inquisitions or witch hunts. We allow them power at our peril.

Oil prices stay expensive yet not too expensive, Israel stays terrorized yet safe from annihilation, and the West and Muslims continue into a century of terrorist attacks and minor skirmishes that will cause the Republics to eat their eyes out.

What is never actually cut is the bullshit.

Such regions don’t really seem all that elligible for economically worthwhile ventures(toppling evil regimes and such).
