I downloaded it ASAP. Any idea how they intended to use that file? I simply opened the PDF file in one of the folders with Acrobat Reader in Linux, but there are several formats, and some XML files, so I assume it is intended to be used in some clever way. There are also Word and Text versions.

Heh, you ask me a question worth writing a book about, so there is no way i’ll be able to provide you with a satisfying answer. However, i’ll give you one example with reference in pdf and a book in pdf (see at the bottom). Note that, as a previous poster also pointed out, men and women were never equal, men granted women rights.
Case Sparta:
The men in sparta were specialized as soldiers, and after conquering a great agricultural region they were needed to keep the slaves working. Now as soldiers they didn’t have much spare time so they granted their women rights to own land and do management tasks. But as the women were employed they didn’t have as much time for children as they used to have, so birth rate fell and the strong soldiers were not replaced, the result was an invasion of an other culture and the end of the women’s rights.
