I do not understand anti-semitism in our contemporary culture. Without a doubt Jews are disproportionately in positions of power and influence in America but I don’t think they are there because Jews seek power to control others (except over themselves and their fate, understandable) but they are there because they are very smart, and fall to places where their talents lie.

I’m doubtful of Jim’s arguments about Jews starting feminism. Women started feminism, with two wave movements (1920’s and 1970’s). If the women leading feminism happened to be Jewish, I don’t think they were promoting feminism to promote the fate of Jews. But is not that just economic expedience, the nature of capitalism? Of course, women at work = more consumers = more profits. It is just the way of things - capitalism carried to its obvious conclusion.

Christianity as practised and experienced in the West clearly has an anti-sex/pleasure/life agenda, especially in its debased Protestant form. This is why the Western, Christianised nations have a long-standing tendency to set women atop pedestals, above criticism or reproach. This did not start in 1920 or 1960: it goes back centuries, to the Medieval cult of Courtly Love, where women were accorded semi-divine status in poetry and song (the wandering Troubadours spread this cult across Europe). In my view, many of the gynaocratic tendencies we see today have their primal origins in Western culture, and Anglo culture in particular.

I really dont think the goal of radical feminism is to control the supply of sex–I see this as a side benefit for them, however. I feel their goal is to feminize men and society. Radical feminsits feel they are emotionally superior to men, and therfore they try to feminize men, as they feel we are barbarous (feminize the manner of our sexual attraction) and society (laws that favor women in the courts, government support of women). Muzalon, although I appreciate your scientific underpinnings, I dont think there is a concious evolutionary-based objective to the feminists to control sexual power, its just a by product, just my opinion. I think their objectives are completely against evolutionary-honed instict, and this clash causes the frustration and misery of today in western culture.
