Oh dear. Unfortunately the facts prove otherwise. A meta-analysis of studies of sex differences in verbal ability (i can just hear you making some inane joke about ‘oral’, please don’t bother), while contradicting research suggesting that women’s linguistic skills are better than men’s, ultimately found that neither gender is superior. That said, females show slightly more rapid language acquisition during childhood. Females also suffer less than males from disorders that manifest language deficits, such as stuttering, dyslexia, autism and schizophrenia — perhaps (and I am speculating here based on other papers) because the female brain has more pathways connecting language-processing areas, as well as using both left and right lobes for language (unlike the male brain), and is thus more resilient.

Moreover, there is increasing evidence supporting the theory that women invented language — or at least, made a significant contribution to its development — in communication with infants.

I live on a college campus with a substantial amount of international students, who all speak English to an appreciable degree (you must pass the TOFEL to be accepted) and this is the behavior of many of the students whose native language is not English. I believe this is because they just want to feel at home and comfortable. The adjustment is large and they sometimes do not take others into consideration when they are looking for anything familiar. However, I would be quite offended if people I know to speak perfectly good English did this to me, no matter who they were.

I fail to see how this article represents a “running out of material”. This is just as material an argument as any other in the ongoing discussion of how men are better than women. Women have nothing of any importance to say, which is why you will hear them use the word “like” at least 3 dozen times in any conversation.

Honestly, as difficult as it is, pay attention the next time you hear a member of the lesser sex try to narrate some mind-numbingly boring anecdote to someone. You will hear nothing but filler and useless detail. If you can make it through the conversation without stabbing yourself in the face, you will hear the word “like” used as often as Steven Siegal kicks ass, and that’s pretty fucking often.

Women suck at talking. Period.

One of the least boring conversations I ever had with a woman was with an Italian girl who spoke English fairly well. We were talking about all kinds of things… she seemed rather intelligent.

Later on, after she’d had a few drinks, she (bizarrely) lost all ability to comprehend English.

Anyway, the good thing about foreign women is they usually don’t know the language well enough to talk about the pointless shit they would in their native tongue, and they’re forced to put some effort into the conversation. Perhaps.
