The F Word
The F word today is Feminism — not fuck like it is usually.
It seems that on the topic of men being better than women eventually the topic of feminism should be covered.
Although I don’t really see why.
Since no one gives a shit about it.
Instead of summing up The Feminism, Feminists, or the Feminist Movement in any way shape or form, I’m just going to let the experts do it for you.
Point your browser over to feministing.com, a harem of horn trumpeting and the slandering of nonsense the likes of which I have never seen before. It’s as if someone has hot-boxed horseshit hysteria. Remember that one short-lived game on American Gladiator, where the contestants and the gladiators would bounce from platforms on bungee cords, with a frantic and desperate mania, to stick Velcro balls to a suspended pole in the middle of an arena? Of course you remember it you’re a man and every episode of that show was man-tasticly great. Feministing.com is a lot like that game. Except instead of contenders, gladiators, and balls; there are only women and their lust for getting outraged as quickly and as often as possible about absolutely any news story that has to do with men, women, or gender. The frantic and desperate mania is quite the same.
Since only men are allowed to read this, I can guarantee what the first thing that catches your eyes on that page will be, and that is the giant picture of the braless woman on the right hand column of the page with her nipples sticking through her shirt.
Let me repeat that.
With her braless nipples sticking through her shirt.
Interesting.
That’s a very interesting thing to see on a site whose sole purpose is to counter that exact kind of female empowerment (read exploitation). It’s so interesting that one might even call it not interesting at all, typical, and complete bullshit hypocrisy.
Far be it from me to tell someone how to run a business — which feminism definitely is, just as much as is Nike Jogging Wear for women. The picture is an ad to sell T-shirts. That’s fine. Everyone knows attractive women sell the goods as well as their goods (while still not being as good as men at doing so). Women see that ad and immediately lust for her braless attention like rabid wolves, frothing at the mouth for their chance to casually tread the line between “taken seriously” and “woops”.
Put your hard helmets on, ladies. Your integrity is dropping like flies as Girl Power strikes again.

Or indeed, as alien to me as they are from one another. Brian*
If those novels are amidst the fog of war inside my mind, MP’s The meaning of life is one with the mist outright. The Life of Brain is as alien to me as Oprah.
@sonyad
Plus the Monty Python crew. Remember the stoning scene in the Life of Brian?
You’ve read up to God Emporer of Dune.
There were two more subsequently written by Herbert himself both of which dealt more with the Bene Geserit - the witches of the earlier books. They are experts at planting the seeds of religious belief in populations and also in the use of sex to manipulate individuals.
Part of Leto’s reasoning behind the all female army is that women are easier to manipulate, particularly if the lever is something like religion, and are less likely to operate, or think, independantly of the group.
Herbert hasn’t been the only one to notice this.
It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies and nosers-out of unorthodoxy.

Just wanting to say hi and echo the welcomes of others. Given that I’m a bit infrequent in my presence here I’d missed much of your original dialogue on this thread but am very impressed with the way you’ve eventually conducted yourself.
I’m one of the Aussies wolfe referred to and was a bit disappointed with your reference to degenerates. Mind you we do have Little Johnny as PM so who knows. I notice you have joined the forum as suggested. Hopefully I’ll get the chance to have a yarn with you there at some point.
Nice touch on the commander-in-chief of the guard being a man. Mister Clone, what’s his name? And, if I’m not mistaken, there’s something to do with copulating with the barracks of ladies? I don’t know. It’s all a blur.
Good thing the little bugger dies from a good, healthy dose of h2o in the end, with little tiny worms springing out of him every second. Serves him right. Inept, idiot of worm. Employing an army of women for anything else than their area of expertise…
It’s the last book in the series. At least what I’ve got of the series.
I don’t remember much of anything about the series. But the book where Muad’ib’s son gradually turns into an all seeing worm protected by an army of women because armies of men are supposedly prone to homosexuality or raping their own civilian population is where I draw the line for shit-mongering. Sorry, had to say it.
Forgive me if I went off on a tangent. It’s been quite awhile since I read those books. Romanian translation.
Yes. I’ve read the entire series. The Tielaxu should serve as a prime example of the sort of oppression men could apply to women if they so desired. In some ways what they are portrayed as doing is possible even now.
@BIZ
Frank Herbert’s son, in collaboration with others, has written a series of books dealing with the “pre history” of the Dune universe. He has just released a new novel which continues the Dune story beyond Chapter House Dune(the last of Herbert’s original series). Similar to Christopher Tolkien’s continued develoment of his own father’s work using the extensive notes JJR left after his death.
@wolfe
I don’t know if you’ve read any of the Dune series but it does in part deal with how religions can be used to manipulate large masses of people. Some of my own thinking on the more political aspects of religion can be sourced from this.
This sucks. I have to pick someone up at the train station at 1 sharp. But I don’t trust my dishonest, sloshy slothy brain or the alarm clock enough to have a quick nap.
Oh, DST. The most abominably malevolent idea ever sprung forth by human mind. Curses.
Nope. The one word that surreptitiously sprang a leaky rhyme with nights at the opportune moment. And wasn’t overly corny.
Are you writing a play Sony? I’d love to see even the first act. Respect,-wolfe
That’s it. I’m pouring myself some coffee.
Did I say east instead of est? Why would I do such a thing?
Goes to show what white nights will do to playwrights.
No, more like 1am when you posted (DST/RDST, remember). But howling at the moon? Always.
-wolfe
It’s 10 to 10 am here. It’s 7 hours east of N. Y., where it’s 3 in the morning. If anything you’re further west than the east coast but still, the night is young.
Wolfe howling at the moon?
I think BIZ is wrong; I have respect for him or her. That is all.
Been a while since I posted here… Yes abaddon, I have read Dune. Was quite an interesting read, since most fiction books can’t seem to get past the tried-and-detested cliches. Originality for the win, eh? :P
However, I was 12 at the time, perhaps I should go back to re-read and refresh my mind as to what exactly you are referring to… Yeah, the tleilaxu, I remember that bit at least.
I think the original author’s son or someone he knew has gone and written a new Dune book. Haven’t read that, though. A little wary of a different writer attempting to carry on and expand upon the franchise.
Anyway, I can’t seem to raise a good argument against this site anymore…
Not that I agree with everything being said; but fact is you have every right to say it, and to hold a different view.
The sheer hypocrisy of supremacists negates everything positive they might happen to work for. If feminazis and women in general can justify any evils they commit against men for something (or even nothing) wrong that a man may have done, then certainly this site isn’t completely in the wrong with its (often) mysogynist, mirror-image-to-feminazi views. Which is generalising, my bad. Generalising is usually wrong, no matter who does it and for whatever reason, since we are all individuals.
Two wrongs don’t make a right, but that’s just my opinion; you can blame all men for all evils or all women for all evils, and none of it gets you anywhere towards anything positive or worthwhile. Truth is that some men and some women do evil things, but you all know that. Not all men or all women are to blame. Often seems that only I know that part.
And yes I do post on feminist forums and blogs and it’s certainly not to condone the bullsh*t. I don’t condone this either but it’s not like dick masterston and the rest of you should be shot for having an opinion.

“Gentlemen, women are biochemical/physiological/neurological support systems for wombs. Discuss.”
Since nobody else seems to be replying, I will:
Yes they are. Just as men are biochemical/physiological/neurological support systems for testicles.
If you want to think of your fellow human beings in such a myopic way.
Humans are biochemical/physiological/neurological support systems for consciousnesses, and that’s the part of people I focus on. It’s really the only part that matters.
I suppose myopia can be a good thing then.
Personally I don’t care about what gender someone is, and I won’t condone violence, injustice or hate crimes against them based on their race or gender. But that’s just me.
Misandrists and mysogynists are quite entitled to their own views, on their own blogs, and I wish them all the joys that come from focusing on their pet hates. If indeed there are any. (Obviously, I’m being sarcastic.) After all, most of them seem quite happy wallowing in all the hate and blame-laying, rather than trying to make anything better in (or improve an aspect of) this flawed reality.
But whatever, I try not to judge: since I don’t get paid for it, it’s obviously not my job. Yes, continue the mud-slinging, by all means.
:D
Peace and respect. And mudfights, it’s all good.
Has anyone read Dune? Look to the Tielaxu for the end anwser of extremism.
