If men go hunting, then someone needs to gather the berries, the edible greens, roots and discern good plants from bad ones, and then cook them, rpeferably the non-poisonous kinds they identify. More: to gather as much non-hunting material food, women gatherers needed to keep track and experiment with the growth of plants, their cycles- preferences of soils and where/how they grow best. the man;s muscles of course help with the tilling of the soil or clearing the grounds for plantation… but the science and art of horticulture-turned- agriculture is solely due to women’s work and genertational genious and communicative infomation gatehring, transferring, processing.
