Oil on the Brain
I read an article a few months ago about some fundamental differences between the brains of men and women and I would like to discuss one of the more interesting points.
Let me also stress up front that I don’t remember really where I read this article. It was in some journal of scientific findings that is quite reputable. That much you can be sure of.
Since all of us men spent the majority of our time in eighth grade science class listening and learning instead of passing notes around about boys and cycles and giggling like a broken dentist’s drill, I’m sure I don’t need to mention how important the brain is in the daily lives of both men and women. Moreso in men obviously — because women use their brains less than men.
The article that I’m talking about said that men’s brain cells are coated in a kind of lubricating goo that conducts neurological impulses faster. Faster impulses mean faster thinking, which made a lot of sense to me in a hurry.
The article did plenty of pussy-footing and bending over backward with all kinds of crazy bullshit like ‘quick thinking does not mean better thinking’, when in fact everyone knows it does. But the data was there in buckets to prove the obvious: that women’s brains function about as fucking well as a dry Slip-n-Slide. That’s how women’s thought processes work, they run and jump and hit the rubber like a lawn dart.
Evolution says — apparently — that men have evolved into quick act-ers and do-ers with their mighty lubricated brains. Evolution also says that women have evolved to sit on the fucking couch and do nothing.

Indeed I would debate your contention in the forums. I find your analogy to be spot on as well. Many women have a similar attitude.
abaddon_ff, Something for the forums maybe, would be how limited the resources on the planet are. I contend they are not as limited as one might think.
On the topic of priorities: I ran into a woman who was volunteering at a hospital. She was under the impression that because she was volunteering, her actions were somehow more noble than that of her husband (a banker). I had trouble getting my mind around this. Sure she was helping people, but to think her husband was not helping people as well seems a bit egocentric.
It was especially ironic when I saw her get into a landrover to go home. Reminded me of the movie “Driving Ms. Daisy.” Here was an increadibly weathly woman with attitude for days. And her contribution was as a teacher. I know, I know, teaching is a noble profession, but for her to live that lifestyle with that attitude when she did very little to contribute toward it strikes me as wrong-headed. Not her wealth but her attitude.
I believe the differences inside men and womens brains is both biological and social (to some degree). However I will state that maybe some of these differences lie in how men and women place their PRIORITIES. Let me begin by saying that I live in Alaska, USA (a manly place if there ever was one) and granted my priorities are different from many others. However, men have been “conditioned” through both sociological and evolutionary factors to have different priorities. For example, many women complain that a man cannot keep a house clean. I think that this statement is untrue and sexist however for those of us whose standards of housekeeping fall short of the mark I say this. Which is more important? HAVING the house that you live in or keeping it clean? Another would be that men eat more than women and are wasteful in that manner. That would be a simple misunderstanding of biology that many women refuse to comprehend, as a general rule men are kinetic creatures and as well we do more of the physically ardorus jobs, such as concrete masons, movers, carpenters, painters, ect ect so we require more energy to make a living, we are also as a rule bigger than most women and our metabolisms are faster so we consume more energy just existing. There are several others that I could provide however I think that you get the point.
Many women take for granted the things that men have provided for them,(because to most of them “work” is sitting on their asses all day) the houses that they live in, the electricity that powers their blowdryers, ect ect. I also believe that there is a fundamental difference between “want” and “need” and that many women aren’t taught this because our society (western) has allowed them to be as wasteful as they like without any social or statuatory condemnation. You do not NEED 10 pairs of shoes nor 40, in reality you only need 1 pair (2 if you live in a colder climate, 3 at most if you count galoshes) . All the rest is want, want, want. It will never stop as long as they are allowed to get their way, for I think that many of them however collective they claim to be don’t understand that there are only limited resources on this planet and that when its done its done. Many of them spout off about how caring they are however you dont even have to listen closely to hear the underlying current of their minds, ME, ME, ME, for as long as it has to do with them then and only then do they “care” about anything.
Sorry about that guys…. I am use to asking rhetorical questions that people, with common sense, know the answer already. Believe fucking me, I am no mangina, as a younger buck I started down that road and quickly realized that was not the way to truly fulfilling life.

Christian, I have never seen a more amusing typo (or deliberate pun) for kow-towing in my life. What Joeschmoe describes of female mechanics (and what I’ve heard about similar problems with female Air Force line mechanics) does seem like towing cows… as well as bowing to them.
I salute your linguistic genius, sir. I propose we henceforth, as with “TMK”, declare “cow-towing” to be our new description for this sort of obsequious behavior in the face of feminism.

I can remember reading the same thing a couple of years ago about the American army cow-towing and having to drop all standards just to admit the spoilt sex into it’s ranks.
One guy wrote that when they had any females so-called employed, it came with a male just to carry the heavy stuff as it was incapable.
Still has the termerity to demand equal wages without doing the work.
