China, India, on the other hand have little debt. China funds our debt. These are global competitors who will likely “eat our lunch” over the next 20 years. China has a GDP that is ~ 50% of ours in the U.S. This has doubled in less than 10 years. It’s reasonable to expect that China’s GDP will be close to that of the U.S.’ in ~ 10 years.
