I’m a man so naturally I can see right through politics. My eyeballs and my man-brain are like a super powered laser beam of knowing political shit and when that shit is up — especially when it’s up to some shit.
A lot of men have been criticizing Nancy Pelosi for being both the Lady-Speaker of the House in the USA and also a woman and therefore incompetent. To these men, I have this to say.
Come on, guys. You don’t think the men in charge of the USA aren’t up to something with that first Lady-Speaker shit, do you? That doesn’t sound like men. I’ll tell you right now that that shit is up to some shit.
Nancy Pelosi is a billboard the size of the entire United States of America that says, “Do Not Vote For Hillary Clinton. A woman will never be fucking president. I’m proof.” And that’s why she’s MenAreBetterThanWomen.com’s Honorary Man of the Month for January. Way to go Lady-Speaker. You managed to get your woman-foot somewhere most women never have: on the right path. Voters too soon forget the dangers of women in politics; even if it’s just for fun. What better way to remind everyone than for a woman to show them herself?

I can look at it that way. I still choose to not be around these people. I just find women tend to justify this behaviour and the reasons are like you said….they are narcisstic and selfish. I just find it highly disrespectful and while men in general hold the reputation of being like this, I find it quite the opposite. I am not jealous of these women, because I certainly do not want to what they have or anything of the such. It did come up last night because we were invited out to a party by one of these women. His reply was he wouldn’t want to hang out with a man that disrespected him. He also told her why. Her reply was he needed to be with a modern woman and besides, it wasn’t just him she wanted! HA! I was thinking on my drive home last night how the only time I have been stabbed in the back, it has been by women. I never thought about women not self actualizing…I was too busy sweeping my own doorstep as the saying goes. But you are right, many do not. The worst people to be around when I was going through anything was women friends. They were too busy assigning blame. My guy pals were the ones where I learned to fake it til I made it, and move on and not dwell. That is the way to go. I understand in many divorced situations it is twice as hard for men to do this, expecially with being saddled with an oft unfair monthly payment to the ex. I was not raised in this school of thought that I was weak because I was a woman or needed special concessions because of my gender. For this, I am grateful.
I look at relationships as two way streets. Of my failed relationships, I can say before me, there preceded women just like you described. My ex’s do keep in touch to just say hi and have apologized for whatever and I can handle the occasional call. I believe we forgive for our own sakes and my highest compliment is to have an ex tell me I made him a better a man. I don’t think I made them into anything though, I think I provided the opportunity. It is my hope they have learned something and continue on a healthy path of life. It just won’t be with me. My attitude has grown, where when I was younger, I tended to look for what I didn’t want, and that was a mistake. I feel better equipped from trying to understand those past failures on my part, and take that knowledge and move forward.
I have said before, I try very hard to not be bitter. Instead, I try to learn from past experiences. It says to be grateful for your hard times, because through them, you build perseverence, through perseverence, you build character, and from that, hope. In my life, I hope to make a difference. When I die, it is not the things I have, but the lives I have touched. And I sincerely hope upon my death, I don’t feel shame or regret.
I know this isn’t a conversation directed my way however I do have a few things to say. Hopefully you won’t mind my intrusion. I agree with much of what Sparky has to say. I too have a vicious tongue, however I view discression to be the better part of valor. In my view insulting someone, is nothing more than trying to disrupt civil debate or a civil conversation. For me, I put myself first, I think that God can take care of Himself. If I put myself first I am better able to help others, or my S/O.. If I am healthy, and of sound body and mind, I am that much more able to help if need be.

In my view, one thing that appeals to women about feminism, and this is a truism of human nature, is that women for the most part get something for nothing. They get to be treated like “goddesses”, while being able to treat Men like shit, and expect the same treatment all around. What women fail to see is that we live within a closed system. What you do to Men will eventually be reflected back upon you. It may take some time however it will happen. Its good that you treat your partner with respect and love, as He does with you. You are definitely an exception to the rule.
Very few women now days self-actualize, or self-realize in any matter, because theres nothing “wrong” with them right? They shouldn’t have to change, everything else should to fit their needs. At least this is a trend I have noticed. Women embody Narcissim and selfishness quite a bit nowadays. Why women do this I have no idea. Maybe Men have a better lateral view of Time? What is the past is the past, what is the future is the future, and what is now is now?
Its EXTREMELY unattractive to mature Men when women bring up what someone else has done to them and then apply it to the Man in question. I think that women have collective mindsets, and apply many things to Men in general that aren’t true to the individual Man.
I have had similar problems, where I was blamed for women hitting on me. The most a Man can do in that situation in my view, is simply ignore the woman in question, if he cares about his girlfriend/wife. Women take this the wrong way in my view. If I am IGNORING, blatant come-ons and passes at me, I would think that it would show respect to her, while being civil to the woman thats doing it. Women seem to view this as acceptence of the come-ons when its far from it.

Wolfe, I was bringing in a known fault many women have. It took one of my man friends to point that out. I was very lucky to have someone take an interest in me earlier in my career and give a good male point of view. It helped shape me as well as my church. I agree with your statement about the man being put first. I should have ellaborated that when I say take care of me, I meant make sure I am of good mind and health first. Otherwise, I would be a burden to my man. I believe everyone, men or woman, must take responsibility for these areas. I recently heard from a male friend going through a break up that his ex girlfriend expects him to pay her dental bill since she had the treatment while he lived with her. Just insane. Take care of yourself is what I told him to tell her. He is not the one that messed up her teeth.
Regarding fixing, I was speaking in the major way, like having a career, major psych problems, emotional baggage, etc. Everyone runs into problems in life. That is a given. But some are character flaws. These are our personal responsibilities to fix, not someone else’s. Too many times I have witnessed women blaming men for their shortcomings, and that is just bull. I can’t help thinking this way, being a conservative.
Right but the concept is that you have your life in some modest degree of order if you’re having kids. I agree (personally) with God first. But you should put the man in your life before yourself. If you don’t, it does suggest certain things (probably about you, but possibly about him)

Oh Wolfe, I don’t treat him blindly like a king. He deserves it. It’s a two way street. I am oddly level headed, but that may have to do being raised with brothers and being a tomboy. But, I have Italian in me, and while it takes a lot, I can slice and dice someone viciously with my tongue. Typically, it is women that get this. I don’t take disrespect too kindly.
I do prioritize differently though. For me, I put God first, me second, then him and all after that. I put me second because the way I see it, if I have my life in order, I can better take care of someone else. I don’t want someone I have to fix…because I work too darn hard on myself. I have been with some of those abusers and cads, so I know full well what you are saying. I blame myself partly, because I stayed too long and thank God He answered my prayers and I didn’t become bitter. I am with someone who I enjoy treating like this because he treats me great. Plus he loves to fish and dive! It’s been almost a year now, and no fights and a few minor disagreements that were handled with a civil discussion.
One thing I recognized I used to do is not let go of issues. I believe the problem was that things repeated and I would dredge up the past. I broke myself of that habit because it is not good to carry that inside and it has to be extremely unattractive to men. And women do it all the time, even if something gets corrected. The only issue I have had with this guy is some of his female aquaintances hit on him blatantly. We had a discussion about this and I told him I will give him a chance to stop it, otherwise, I will tell the slut off. You see, my men aquaintances do not disrespect him. Funny how women moan and groan about men, but most of the time in the above situation, it is them that are the disrespectful sluts.
I will be careful and that is fine if he wants to make fun of that. I realize what this site is and I am grateful for the respect you have shown me. Women, I think, unfairly flake out at men. (Some men take advantage of this in acting like crap to women all the time then pressuring them). Never let your (husband) take unfair advantage of you, but always try and view him and his actions very positively even when you’re inclined to be angry.
Care about your (future) children barely first, him closely second, and yourself a distant third. And expect him to do the same (i.e. obviously children, you, then way back him).
