One in Three Women is Illiterate
Sometimes the statement men are better than women leaves me wanting a little more in the flavor of substance. It’s not often. Like all men, the shortcomings of women are something I’ve learned to accept and move on. However, occasionally we men need to re-evaluate. We need more than rational hypothesizing and logical conjecture. We need facts for the why’s and how’s.
I pose this as a formal theory. Men are better than women at everything because something like 30% of women are illiterate.
Sounds shocking doesn’t it? But really, when do women need to read? Numbers don’t count as reading, so illiteracy does not impede women from writing checks or measuring all the progress they’re not making while they’re not working out at the gym.
Before I get too ahead of myself let me quote some statistics. UNICEF and UNESCO say that two out of every three illiterates is a woman. They give the world-wide feminine literacy rate in the sixtieth percentile, while the male literacy rate towers above that number at nearly 90%. I think you’ll agree that that’s plenty of numerical majesty to spare.
Initially, when I saw the figures I thought to myself, maybe that’s why women are so shitty at everything. Just like the kid who is really shitty at baseball and then it turns out he just needed some glasses. Maybe women just need to learn how to read.
Then I realized the writing on the walls of every cluster fuck women are about to step into is only metaphorical writing. They also don’t need to be able to read to shut the hell up every once in a while and listen when something other than Oprah or an appliance that resembles Oprah is dispensing sound life advice.
Perhaps instead of Easy Bake Ovens and Barbie Dolls this Christmas, mothers should be buying their daughters Hooked on Phonics.

Well all the examiners that came into our school were male. I wasnt trying to be sexist. Its just the last time I defended my inteligence the Dick said it was only because all my teachers were female. No offence ment.
So what does it tell you that the examining board is predominantly male? And how on earth do you know that anyway?
I don’t remember being introduced to the examining board when I was doing *my* GCSE’s.
I’m currently doing my GCSE’s and I’m predicted eight A’s and two B’s, which is much higher than the majority of boys in my school. And no the people who predicted my grades were not all women, but an examining board which is predominately male. My grades are higher than almost all of the boys in my school.
So would you mind telling me exactly why my entire education has been a waste of time?
Carlie the reason they dont allow women an education in many countries around the world is because those countries dont want to waste their education funds. Something I wish our country would learn.

I wonder if their illiteracy has anything to do with the fact that men won’t even allow women an education in many countries around the world. They don’t LET them be literate. Then they turn around and say, “Look, men are more intelligent.” If that’s intelligence, wisdom, and the integrity you speak of, I’m glad you don’t think I have it. What a disgrace.
I also wonder how many of your educators were women.. Most likely all the ones who taught you literacy..
Nicole, whatever you do, do not consult the section in Elements of Style: Elementary Techniques of Style and Grammar for Beginning Writers that covers correct usage of “your” and “you’re”.
You see what I’ve done there men is use basic reverse psychology on this woman. I absolutely guarantee that it will work. It doesn’t even matter than she knows I’m doing it.

Thats too true. You cant critise a woman for being a single mother. After all there was a man at some point. Men run away from thier responsibilities every day, but if a woman did it she would be branded an awful mother and a terrible woman.
We would’nt be single moms if you so called men helped with raising your children instead of running away from your responsibility. God did not make one of his children better than the other.
Yes, you women do a fine job raising our children. 70% of the violent rapists in prison came from single mother homes.

I agree with rosa. And I find it unbelieveably pathetic that the ‘better’ gender has nothing better to do than bitch about women. If you hate us so much why arn’t you all gay? For thousands of years women have delt with being repressed by men. Weve raised your children, cleaned your houses, supported you emotionaly and put up with your big matcho bullshit. And now as soon as we start to break free from the binds that have held us for thousands of years men like you have to make us feel inadequate so that you can feel a little more manly. Im sure this website can come up with countless ways how men are better than women, but we are better than men in just as many ways. Except it, men and women ARE different but we are equal.
