One in Three Women is Illiterate
Sometimes the statement men are better than women leaves me wanting a little more in the flavor of substance. It’s not often. Like all men, the shortcomings of women are something I’ve learned to accept and move on. However, occasionally we men need to re-evaluate. We need more than rational hypothesizing and logical conjecture. We need facts for the why’s and how’s.
I pose this as a formal theory. Men are better than women at everything because something like 30% of women are illiterate.
Sounds shocking doesn’t it? But really, when do women need to read? Numbers don’t count as reading, so illiteracy does not impede women from writing checks or measuring all the progress they’re not making while they’re not working out at the gym.
Before I get too ahead of myself let me quote some statistics. UNICEF and UNESCO say that two out of every three illiterates is a woman. They give the world-wide feminine literacy rate in the sixtieth percentile, while the male literacy rate towers above that number at nearly 90%. I think you’ll agree that that’s plenty of numerical majesty to spare.
Initially, when I saw the figures I thought to myself, maybe that’s why women are so shitty at everything. Just like the kid who is really shitty at baseball and then it turns out he just needed some glasses. Maybe women just need to learn how to read.
Then I realized the writing on the walls of every cluster fuck women are about to step into is only metaphorical writing. They also don’t need to be able to read to shut the hell up every once in a while and listen when something other than Oprah or an appliance that resembles Oprah is dispensing sound life advice.
Perhaps instead of Easy Bake Ovens and Barbie Dolls this Christmas, mothers should be buying their daughters Hooked on Phonics.

Ive met sociopathic women, pathological liars, pregnant teens and probably murders and rapists too that were women, but illiterate women? Never.
Go ahead caveman rip them to shreds, I’m going to pretend you haven’t insulted me about a million times because I agree with your basic comments and I don’t agree with Dick and Jeff.
Don’t patronise me.
Why don’t you look at my earlier comment that how does this show the superiority of males? That they are lazy?
I refer you to my earlier comment: girls work harder than boys and consequently do better, as GCSEs solely require a bit of work. Do concentrate Dear.
What biology paper?
If it doesn’t require intelligence then why can’t boys do it?
Try and get hold of the biology paper that was done about 3 and a half hours ago and tell me that requires intelligence.
And if you do assume men and women are equal above GCSE’s I suggest you look at this link: http://www.statistics.gov.uk/cci/nugget.asp?id=434
Of course GCSE’s require intelligence, just not on an adult level because 15-16 year olds are not adults.
And if your point is correct that girls just work harder than boys, how exactly does this show men’s superiority? By displaying how lazy and half arsed they are?
Could I just point out that GCSEs are almost no measure of actual intelligence at all: the questions are horrendously, sickeningly easy if you have just done a bit of work. All that GCSE statistics tell you is that girls work harder than boys: by A level the stats are about equal apart from in subjects with coursework, because they require more work. So, it follows that although girls work harder, in harder exams that actually require intelligence, they cannot perform any better than boys, despite their higher effort level. QED.
Then why in countries that DO allow women an equal education have higher test scores for girls than they do boys if men are soooo much smarter.
Check the figures yourself and you’ll find that at GCSE level girls test scores are higher than boys in most MEDC’s.
gigi, have you thought of the fact that maybe those countries that close education to women are onto something, like not wasting their money?
had you thought of the fact that there isnt equality isnt in every country and education isnt always open to women?
yup you hadnt thought of that one…
I love the women on this site
heheeh people you are funny!?
You are incapable of looking beyond gender to see a persons qualities, that makes you small minded. When I look at a person, I ensure that I do not judge them until I know them, despite gender, race or sexuality.
So ask yourself this, does judging people on the content of thier character make me the lesser sex?
Women are different to men in a million ways, but they are equal in even more.
I will respond in Dick’s absence.
This success of this website is directly proportional to the number of men who come here and have their eyes opened. Opened to the fact that for most (if not all) of their lives they have been duped into believing that women can compete in on par with them in arenas of business, politics and science. It simply isn’t the case.
How could you think that your endless prattling-ons were making a meaningful contribution to this site? And yes, that was most certainly a rhetorical question.
If women didn’t comment on your website there would be hardly anyone else but you.
Then would your website be a success?
(Seeing as you’re incapable of deciphering whether or not this question is rhetorical I’ll tell you now, I actually want to know.)
Ignorance? The only ignorance on this site is that that is put here by the brain-oil-deficient ones among us who shouldn’t even be perusing the site in the first place! Arrogance? Yes. We’ve earned the right to be arrogant. Lies? Ne’er a lie has been told by a man on this site. Quite to the contrary as a matter of fact - this site is a bastion of truth.
If this is what you consider manly, the web already has a strong representation of ignorance, arrogance, and lies.
A lack of representation for all things manly on the web?
Is that supposed to be a rhetorical question?
-Dick
Hurm while creating this website saying how much better you are than women, how manly you are, I wonder what your compensating for?
