One in Three Women is Illiterate
Sometimes the statement men are better than women leaves me wanting a little more in the flavor of substance. It’s not often. Like all men, the shortcomings of women are something I’ve learned to accept and move on. However, occasionally we men need to re-evaluate. We need more than rational hypothesizing and logical conjecture. We need facts for the why’s and how’s.
I pose this as a formal theory. Men are better than women at everything because something like 30% of women are illiterate.
Sounds shocking doesn’t it? But really, when do women need to read? Numbers don’t count as reading, so illiteracy does not impede women from writing checks or measuring all the progress they’re not making while they’re not working out at the gym.
Before I get too ahead of myself let me quote some statistics. UNICEF and UNESCO say that two out of every three illiterates is a woman. They give the world-wide feminine literacy rate in the sixtieth percentile, while the male literacy rate towers above that number at nearly 90%. I think you’ll agree that that’s plenty of numerical majesty to spare.
Initially, when I saw the figures I thought to myself, maybe that’s why women are so shitty at everything. Just like the kid who is really shitty at baseball and then it turns out he just needed some glasses. Maybe women just need to learn how to read.
Then I realized the writing on the walls of every cluster fuck women are about to step into is only metaphorical writing. They also don’t need to be able to read to shut the hell up every once in a while and listen when something other than Oprah or an appliance that resembles Oprah is dispensing sound life advice.
Perhaps instead of Easy Bake Ovens and Barbie Dolls this Christmas, mothers should be buying their daughters Hooked on Phonics.

An ideal western society would treat women as at least putative adults, responsible for their decisions, rather than the literally free to get away with murder, abuse, and violence creatures they are not infrequently presently treated as.
Women would, as a general rule, no longer automatically get custody because it’s apparent that single mothers are statistically horrible at raising children. This isn’t to say women wouldn’t get custody; I can think of many examples where it’s better that the woman get custody. But it would no longer be the rule.
Divorce would be harder to obtain and there would be economic sanctions for those who cheated, of either gender. There would be staggering economic sanctions for women who made false paternity claims of any kind.
Work to prevent child abuse (especially the 2/3rd’s that’s caused by women) would be expanded, and considerable work on domestic violence, patterned after the work and research of early feminist Erin Pizzey, who suggested, apparently correctly, that in about 2/3rds of the cases she observed, women were more violent than men.
False rape accusations would be punished by 20 to life in a men’s prison.
I believe in a fair and equitable society where we work to protect innocent children — indeed every innocent — from being murdered, abused, raped, or tortured.
That’d be a start.

WAIT Before you respond by saying that you aren’t blaming single mothers, I have an idea. Why don’t you and other men here go to the forums and describe a non-feminised ideal western society.
You seem to be blaming single mothers for raising criminals. Perhaps you aren’t, but it does come off that way as you don’t seem to consider that the women themselves may not be solely responsible for why they are single.
Men die, men abandon their families and responsibilites and men go to prison. Should feminism or women be blamed for these things? Perhaps women also run men off or leave men, and I know gwallan has quoted statistics that show women instigate divorce in 80% of cases, but that doesn’t consider that perhaps a large number of those cases are initiated by women after the man has left or after he has been remanded. I don’t think it is fair or responsible to be quoting quantitative data without considering its qualitative aspects. We don’t even know what country that statistic comes from, nor the year it was produced, on what data it was based, we know nothing, other than a figure, without any reference or understanding to support it.

Dick provides the reasoning for his mabtw conclusion through the use of generalized examples, which are taken as premises regarding the behaviour of women. Considering the context of this site, I would say that rather than proving I am illogical for arguing against the validity of him doing so, I would say instead, this proves I do have situational awareness of what is both appropriate to argue against, and where.

Most of the men here are relatively untroubled, and certainly individual women are not in general to blame for what troubles exist. A highly feminized society, however, is another matter. Family break-down, high crime rates, and excessive promiscuity are all gifts of the feminist revolution. (Of course not all aspects of all of these things are caused by feminism, but in most cases, a majority are).
Some might also argue that promiscuity is a good thing; I don’t, but certainly some men and women do. Most would also agree that some families should break-down — in the case of domestic violence for example. Few would agree that 50% of marriages ending in divorce is an unalloyed good. I don’t think anyone would argue that young men from single-mother households being 18-20 times more likely to be criminals is good.
Most of our members are in their 20’s and 30’s. I am not sure this qualifies as middle-aged. Most of our members are not angry, though annoyance is not unknown. Certainly I am not angry.
The women in my life are generally quite good people, and as long as I appropriately adjust my expectations, I do not find I am let down any more than I am by men.
Of course. And it is our contention that the greatest single factor in this environment is the rise of feminism. Keep in mind many of us have looked at the subject of women’s studies, read feminist authors and academics, read a great deal of social history, and thought deeply about these matters.
I would not expect an endless stream of answers to your questions, but there’s quite a comprehensive one, above.

Why do you assume I am a female? I could be a a man. Relating my intellect to a gender is simply an ad hominem fallacy. It seems likely that you do not answer the question because you have no purpose other than a need to blame all women for your troubles, possibly because you are middle-aged and angry. Have the women in your life - a wife - or/and daughters - really let you down? or do you need to start taking some account of the environment and context around the actions of women that you have observed rather than blaming everything solely on the individual and extrapolating that to their gender?
