I think prostitution is very different in Asiatic, as opposed to Western societies. I think so, it’s what some people have to do to survive, and so many women are even forced into prostitution. Prostitutes start usually poor, not rich, because those are the ones who can’t afford an education, can’t get a job since they have no experience, so they are left with either prostitution or begging for money. Maybe in India – not in the West. ‘High class’ escorts in the US can earn millions. Even average grade prostitutes in the UK can earn well over £100K a year. Of course, the more who do it, the lower the value of sold sex gets. However, prostitutes typically take it up because it gets them far more money than they could earn from any other means. The average lower class, low IQ, semi-illiterate woman can earn ten times more by becoming a prostitute than pursuing a conventional career (i.e. burger flipping).

I personally believe there are laws against prostitution because if it were not stigmatised, almost all women would take it up. The only ones who would not are higher professional women, a tiny minority. Given that, it still surprises me far more of them don’t do it.

Clearly, prostitution works through a sexual mismatch between men and women, where men desire a lot more sex than women do. Consequently, women can profit by selling what men want. All the Sixties guff about a sexual revolution wherein women want sex as much as men is refuted by the continuing, widespread presence of prostitution.
