We would give you credit if you said something intelligent, here are some suggestions on what to do and what not to do:

2. We understand typos, but for the most part your spelling should be correct. Typing rapidly might cause a mistake or two here and there, so use spell checking.

4. Pay attention to your grammar. Some rules may be broken, for instance ending a sentence with a preposition. These should only occur if they happen in natural speech.

5. Argue the facts. Consider what the post is about and get to the facts. Discuss how the facts do, or do not, lend support to the author’s conclusions. Add additional facts which lend weight to your conclusion. Do not twist the facts though, and do not withhold facts that support the opposing position, because someone will find out.

6. Think before you post, then your answer will be well reasoned.

7. Set emotion aside in your answer. Most especially anger. Female anger is the weather-vane of truth. We say this because women’s reaction when presented with facts and a conclusion derived from those facts, is amost always based on anger if they disagree. Perhaps those facts lend another conclusion? Perhaps there are other facts to consider? When debating with a woman though, you will never know, because she resorts to anger, instead of logical debate.

8. Realize ad hominems (insults) do not demonstrate the veracity of your position. This is related to 7. In this topic as an example, why men should avoid marriage, stating that men are homosexual (not actually an insult) and thus do not want to marry, proves nothing about whether straight men should avoid marriage. Nor does stating that Dick’s name is appropriate, since he is a dick. Actually that’s not an insult either. Nor is stating that your opponent cannot get a date, has fantasies about women, was treated badly by a woman and so forth. None of these statements disprove the conclusion that men should not marry, and in one case actually lend credence to the statement. That is, if he has been treated badly, that should be a warning sign not to marry.

9. 8 leads us to nine. Do not reduce yourself or other women to sexual objects. When you use sexual based statements ostensibly as insults, this is stating that women are not good for anything but sex. Believe it or not, most of us feel differently. If fact that’s the reason for sites like this, that most women are wasting themselves in a mire of sexual objectification, ignoring other possibilities.

So now to give you a chance to do this I will present several facts, and then my conclusion. I would be glad to see your response.

1. 50% of marriages end in divorce.

2. 70% of these divorces will be filed by a woman.

3. 88% of the time, custody will go to the mother.

4. Most of the time the house will go to the mother and much of the time the house will go to the childless wife.

5. Much of his property will go to his ex-wife.

6. Much of his future income will go to his ex-wife, often leaving him all but destitute.

7. In cases where he simply cannot pay court-ordered support, he will face arrest, and continue to owe support while in jail.
7a. Even missing a payment or two because of a job transfer can cause this.
7b. If he had written her checks, before court ordered support was in place, the court will consider those gifts, even if the check says child-support.

8. If a woman accuses her husband of rape, it’s his word against hers, and he will be convincted.
8a. He will now be labeled a sex offender.
8b. His information will be posted to government websites for ten years in some cases, for life in others.

9. If a woman accuses her husband of domestic violence it’s his word against hers, and he will be convicted.
9a. Some employers fire upon conviction of a violent felony.

10. In the case of 9 and 10. Many rights will now be stripped from him as a convicted felon (right to vote, right to own a gun, right to choose where he lives in some cases, any many other rights…)

These are only a few of the legal ramifications of getting married for a man. There are many more legal, financial, and social effects which negatively affect a man. All of these consequences are brought down on a man by a woman he was convinced loved him. In some cases he should have seen warning signs, true. In a great many though, her conduct gave no indication that she would so willingly harm him at divorce.

Therefore, since one cannot tell what changes will occur in even the most honorable of women, therefore one cannot tell that she would not make use of such means to harm a man in the future, I conclude that men should not get married.

I’m aware of all this. Surprise surprise. I don’t believe its fair. I know its wrong, many men and women realize its wrong and unjust… Obviously not enough of them, or else more would be done to end it. I can agree with you, because I know these facts haven’t been contorted and are proof of unequal treatment under the law concerning men.

If you believe men shouldn’t get married because of all those legal ramifications, my answer is that I think your conclusion is reasonable. All I will say is that these laws clearly need change, but until then if a man thinks its worthwhile to get married, he at least shouldn’t be forbidden from doing so. There are plenty of couples in the world that are content with being married in spite of the things that have happened to others. Personally I don’t care about marriage, if I’m with someone that loves and respects me, thats good enough. I’m not after anything fancy, and I don’t care for money so much that I’d want to take it from my own lover. That is sickening. I have a healthy hatred for those spoiled women that have what I like to call the Princess Syndrome. They make women in general look bad. I can answer that for you. These guys either have had a pretty bad experience with women in their life and so fear/hate them, or are extremely egotistical and can’t bear the idea of women being any bit as free as or strong as man, OR they are just cowards with an unreasonable and harsh fear and hatred towards women.
