I use ‘lol’, ‘wtf’, etc. on the internet, but almost everyone I’ve seen use abbreviations is male. Talking with my boyfriend online we use ‘lol’ often, same with my other male friend. Has the writer of this article ever played online games? At least 95% of players of the majority of those games are male, and they use internet accronyms whenever they can.
