Ask Dick: Why is Prostitution Illegal?
The following question was sent to me by a reader Erik.
Here in America prostitution is illegal, yet pornography is completely okay so long as all participants are eighteen and over. This is what confuses me: Is pornography (that is to say, intercourse between two parties) not the same as prostitution?
Why is prostitution illegal?
Good question, Erik. Now prepare your mind for a mantomic explosion of answer.
Prostitution is illegal because women hate the fuck out of each other.
Men love women. I’m a man and I love women so much I would have sex with all of them if I could. Even the fat ones.
Fat women are like dessert trolleys. They’re stuffed with desserts and they’re no good in the sack.
Let’s look at the facts.
Men give women free cars and free money so women can drive to the mall and blow that free money on useless bullshit. That’s nice of us. Men also built strip clubs and Hooters so women can easily put themselves through medical school. Again, quite nice of us. Do you know how much money strippers make every night for doing almost nothing? Like two grand. That’s just more good old benevolent men footing the tab at the foot of the stage. Men are like fire hoses of altruism. It doesn’t matter if you’ve got the window closed, we’re busting it the fuck down with generosity. Clean yourself up.
That’s where prostitution comes in. Men invented prostitution so no woman anywhere would ever have a single problem in her life.
Unless you call too much sex a problem!
Women’s magazines, women’s financial manuals (which include such gems as: be more confident when asking for a raise. While you’re at it, grow a penis, honey jugs. That’s about as likely as a woman growing a backbone), and women’s fitness classes, are all full of lady-problems solved very easily by man’s first invention: prostitution.
Prostitution is the only way in the world you can get free money. You don’t even have to stand in line like you do for welfare. Prostitution comes to you.
Have a bite of this logical Manwich.
All women use prostitution to get free sushi without batting an eye. Sushi is fucking expensive. Ergo, women use prostitution to get free money. Or is every woman at a sushi bar somehow not a prostitute?
The reason prostitution is illegal is women hate seeing other women having it easy. Remember how many women called Anna Nichole Smith a whore when she married that old rich guy? Look at how many women hate Heather Mills. Yes, Heather Mills is a cunt, but women don’t know that. They just hate Heather Mills because she has it easy.
Women are nature’s spanner. Once you’ve got some shit together and some man cogs lined up cranking out the good times, in is chucked a woman and mucked go your gears. That’s what women did with prostitution.
I think that’s what the Bible means allegorically speaking when it says Eve ruined the Garden of Eden. Prostitution was busy solving all the problems of womankind while men solved their own, but women had to go and wreck it with a fucking fascist crusade. I don’t know what the apple means as a metaphor though. Maybe it just represents something shiny. Women will do anything for shiny.
If you really want the whole scoop here, I can only recommend the following. Pay the next woman you’re going to have sex with 20 bucks before you do. And make sure she knows what it’s for.
You’ll thank me for it.

Agreed. The street-corner hooker is simply making an honest business transaction. It’s the gold-digging Heather McCartney types who are the REAL whores. Not only are such whores dishonest about their own prostitution but the financial cost to the client is huge, often running into millions.
I can look a street-hooker in the eye, whereas I wouldn’t lose any sleep if ‘lady’ McCartney were run over by a bus.
Women who ACT like a prostitutes are worse than an actual prostitute.
BTW.. I have more respect for a woman whom decides to cut out the bullshit and just straight up charge a man a fair fee to have sex with her.
Last I heard prostitution is largely illegal in the us and the feminsts are “fighting” to legalize it. In Europe it is legal, some feminists want it banned, while others dont want it banned, but want men punished for accepting the services of prostitutes like in Sweden.
Kind of weird the feminists. Do you think they will fight for the legislation if it gets banned in Europe US styel ?
The thing that will annoy most is really the prostitue/victim V customer/villain accent that’s always applied to the issue. The marriage analogy I can sort of understand in some situations but where there is reciprocal benefit between individuals(ie a stable respectful relationship) I don’t see it.
Actually SOTS and Heretics view is not too dissimilar to that of some of the 60s/70s womens libbers although expressed a bit more harshly. Part of the movement’s goal was to free women from what some of them saw as passive prostitution. Unfortunately the extremists viewed the removal of men from the lives of women and children as the solution. They ended up holding sway in the movement and having the only audible voice on gender issues. They never did take into account that men might love their children or even women for that matter.
I once heard Bettina Arndt(google her - she’s a very astute aussie) say that “one of the great tragedies of life is that men love women, women love children and children love hamsters”. Even she missed the fathers loving their kids bit but I know she gets it.
Been there, often been the one doing the denying and some of them were not very gracious about it. Put another way - the “slutty women” are out there but I hardly think they’re throwing themselves at you.
And yes prostitutes are lesser people, because they’re women. And prostitutes.
Luka you should tell your boyfriend about your crush on me.
Honesty is the best policy.
It’s not just women who view prostitutes in a negative light…just look at sots’ comment to female, the whole implication that she is a prostitute was made as if she were something lesser because she is a prostitute. The word is used to insult her. Not really the language of a man who understands and respects that these women offer a service because there is a demand. Men are just as vicious in their verbal attacks on such women as women are, if not more.
So far men here like to complain that prostitution financially exploits men…yet men have a choice about whether or not they want to go to a prostitute. If you don’t like prostitution you can always vote with your feet….it’s not like you are going to be denied sex amongst all these slutty women throwing themselves at you.
Excellent post, gwallan, and proof that female is spouting shit in her rambling and nonsensical post. Yet another example of females attempting put all the blame on men. Nothing more than a vigorous and emotional defence of the sisterhood.
What absolute drivel! I don’t see any other industries going down the pan because they think the tax regime doesn’t make it worth their while. Why should it be any different for prostitution?
Yet more female-victimhood bullshit. If prostitution were legal, hookers would be no more likely to go on a ‘methamphetamine or cocaine bender’ or be ‘picked up by the police’ than, say, a welder or truck driver. If women - women like YOU - stopped bitching and portraying prostitutes as poor little ’suicidally depressed’ victims of male aggression, then perhaps their business would be viewed by society as no more consequential than any other honest occupation.
But in a sense, prostitution is already legal in the Western world. It’s called MARRIAGE!
For anybody who is interested Planet Platinum (originally Daily Planet) shares are available today(27/3/07) on the Australian Stock Exchange for between 12.5 and 15 cents(AUS).
Female you are talking absolute bullshit here. I’ve done dozens of tax returns and BASs for strippers AND prostitutes.
Prostitution is legal in Australia. There are even brothels registered on the stock exchange. As long as the business includes more than one worker any women(or men for that matter) can set up operations anywhere providing they comply with the same local planning provisions any other business is subject to(albeit with some restrictions re location). They can, and many do, register for the GST under the same provisions that apply to any business. It is also taxed and the tax laws of this country include provisions specifically for the profession. The ATO even issues fact sheets detailing the deductions sex workers are able to claim including such things as lubricants, sex toys and even s&m gear.
Street prostitution is illegal but then so is drinking in public in most places.
I agree with all of this.
I think she really has proved Dick right a number of times through her posts.
Keep em comin Dick.. Notice how Female sits in waiting like an addict to be first to spill her venom all over your manly post; the same way she longs to place her spit all over your manhood. It’s obvious she wants you.
Female Said “How do I know? I guessed.”
Of course you guessed, that is how you come to any conclusion and why you sound like such an idiot.
It’s called running a fucking business. Leave it to a woman to complain about the amount of ACCOUNTING needed to be a prostitute.
Your entire comment is a joke. You embarrass yourself and your gender with every keystroke.
I’ll trade you my wit for your tropical climate.
You beat me to it, SOTS.
Female, I’m not surprised you know a great many things about prostitution. Practice makes perfect.
For the government to get their cut (taxes) they’d have to “rough up” the working girls, like a pimp would, and they don’t want to been seen to do that, do they. By “rough up” I mean they’d obviously have highly biased and unfair tax scales in existance for this industry, much like they do for every other and as a self-employed person, with a registered business number and GST “ready”, the person will have to guestimate their yearly income and pay tax on that one. But in the prostitute game, this could be very hard to guess. One day you may get lots of clients, the next you may be suicidally depressed and not want anyone touching you and go on methampetamine or cocaine bender and make nothing. The next day you may get booked and spend the following two days in magistrates court/down at the pub bitching about the fact that you got picked up by the police. Etc, etc. Every prostitute is going to have different income. Do you seriously want to make the woman have to sit down and work out how many times she’s had sex or other in a financial year to have accrued what she has, then to work out tax credits on this? Many woman may find that after they’ve paid tax, it just isn’t worth their while, then OMG, prostitution may disappear as an industry. Well, well, well, the government (being composed of mainly men) wouldn’t like to see that occur, would they? Pollies are, after all, one of the largest clienteles for working girls. How do I know? I guessed.
Prostitution is illegal because men do not wish to be solicited on the street. Prostitution is legal in many countries, including my own, as long as it occurs inside a brothel. Streetwalking and solicitation is illegal. However it is still widespread. Women do not care if prostitution exists as there is a large difference between a prostitute and a woman who does not prostitute herself and any man who cannot tell the difference isn’t worth knowing anyway.
That’s what we call a woman argument. There’s a start and an end, but no explanation at all between the two.
It makes no sense.
