I assume all North American train companies are similar in this respect. They all have a main office that directs and controls them. If she hit this train, there is a good chance it was the control office's fault. They're supposed to make sure everyone has track clearance. It's similar to air traffic controllers. It was a car swerving around, back and forth, nearly hitting my car. As I looked, I saw the BROAD holding a CELLPHONE to her ear with one hand while yanking the steering wheel back and forth. Her car then ran off the road into the median (with her still holding the cellphone to her ear, natch). The car slid around sideways, kicking grass and dirt in the air. It came to a stop 90° to the road in a cloud of dust. Then, she drove it back onto the highway on the pavement outside the traffic lane, got out and looked her car over. I had stopped and backed up to see if she needed any help. She didn't think so, then got back in and drove off (at least she was pointed the right way!). I went on down the road, passing her, as she was going kind of slow. In a few minutes, here was her car pacing right alongside me. I was really concerned for a moment, then she tore off down the road. This is almost every time I go out on the road - some (usually) woman driver nearly kills me.
