I agree with you young man; woman nurses ARE gross!!! I am an M.D. and I cannot stand working side by side with ANY women at all!! I do enjoy my rounds when I am staffed with male nurses though!!

I am an RN, have been for 13 years. I can promise you that you wouldn’t want my job in a million years. I don’t even want it anymore. As in for the scrubs in public it is very likely she was running erronds before work, a contaminated scrub with bodily fluid would be changed before leaving work I can promise you.

Oh My God, I am a woman and couldn’t agree more. Unlike all the other women out there I am different. I don’t have many female friends and cannot stand all the drama women tend to have surrounding them at all times. The nurse comment about made me choke with laughter. As if that wasn’t hitting the nail on the head! Nurses wear their scrubs to the grocery store, the mall, and even to PTA meetings or teacher confrences. I think they even wear them on their days off to gain attention. It’s like LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME! I WIPE ASSES FOR A LIVING. Then to try to have a conversation with one of them. OH PLEASE. It’s like last night at work we had a code and I had to get the cart. SHUT UP! We really don’t care! I mean do you see Coal Miners wearing their lighted hats and coal covered clothes to the store or a fireman in his gear? No. LEAVE WORK AT WORK! I agree most nurses are overweight. That is because they sit behind a desk all day eating donuts and drinking coffee barking orders at the aide to do all the hard work.

I disagree. I wear my scrubs – if they are clean, to the supermarket or elsewhere. Usually that’s because I show up to work in a suit and tie because I have class. I don’t have the time to change just to grab something at a store, because people count on me back at the hospital. Whatever work I’m not doing is given to another man who already does everything, because women do jack shit in hospitals.

That is actually very disturbing.

Weather they were going to work, or coming from work, those women were creating a massive cross contamination situation. Either they were wearing dirty scrubs in a public place or they were about to drag outside contaminants into a medical facility. Those aren’t meant to be uniforms. They’re a covering meant to protect the spread of illness into the outside world and to save patients with weakened immune systems the risk of catching something that might be picked up on a nurses’ every day clothing.

Wearing a scrub outside of the medical facility is absurd. They should be changing their clothes before they enter and after they exit.

You’re right about women nurses being on power trips over the weak and helpless. Not only that, they’re utterly hysterical prudes re sexuality and the sex organs. They utterly lack empathy and of course everything they fuck up is the patient’s fault. What’s worse is they think they’re Mom and treat adults like errant children. I find myself agreeing with a buddy of mine who sells fuel oil. He said “I’ve signed hospital staff – they’re the stupidest people I’ve met”. There’s NO fetish here re nurses’ uniforms.

Actually, male homosexuality increases based on how many male children a mother has given birth to, no matter if they live in the same household, are given up for adoption, etc. It’s an interesting phenomenon based on the X and Y chromosomes actually attacking each other.

My mother worked herself through nursing school, without a cent of support from her parents, to become a RN. She later married my disabled father, who cannot work. She was and still is the sole income earner for my family, while my father did the household work and watched my brother and I. When her RN salary was no longer enough, she went back to college (the hospital she worked at paid for the bulk of tuition) while still working full time, to become an NP. In my state, NPs have the prescribing, general practice, and diagnosing rights of a doctor (they often run family-care practices). She took a job at multiple nursing homes diagnosing patients and prescribing and altering their medications. When the company she worked under folded, she became self employed and took on the scheduling and monetary logistics of her job as well. She was determined to pay for my college, something her parents denied her, but she luckily didn’t need to because I received a full ride, thanks to how she modeled for me the value of an education to improve one’s standing in life. I could never understand how people could have such disdain for all women for the actions of a, albeit very much noticeable, few, because my family would be nowhere without one.
