Women suck at computers

Computers are all over the place: the bank, the sciences, the workplace — in other words, places where women are not. Is this a coincidence? You bet your ass that no it isn’t.

Women face countless problems in their pipe-dream of equality. The biggest being that the whole notion is childish and only realistic to an insane person or someone who has never had a job.

Women also suck at computers.

It’s the same way that men suck at being happy when their best friend gets dumped and then has to rely on them for emotional support. That just doesn’t make the kind of sense to us.

Computers are that way for women.

You see, women don’t understand computers because they don’t understand the basics of cause and effect — that the one causes the other. It’s childlike in its simplicity, I know, but it’s absolutely true.

This backwards mentality applies to computers just as easily as it applies to every other aspect of a woman’s life, which she is right about to hopelessly fuck up yet again by doing the exact same thing and expecting it somehow to magically work this time.

I saw this in action just yesterday while waiting in line for an ATM at the bank. For some absurd reason, a woman had been put in charge of her own finances and had promptly lost her ATM card in the machine. She started frantically pressing buttons, expecting that at any moment something profoundly contrary to what had happened was about to happen. Guess what. It didn’t.

What I’m saying here is that men are better than women because every time a man drops a rock in to a ditch, he knows it’s going to fall. Women think that if they do it enough, it will turn into a Snicker’s bar.

Dick/Billy - you are absolutely correct. Obviously a woman being able to make either of you too happy is completely impossible. No, I am not implying that you are homosexual. I am implying that you are happy to wallow in your indignation at the current state of affairs of your relationships and all your prior ones to date. Women will never be able to make either of you happy because you will make that an impossible task.

In fact, it seems likely that the only way a woman could possibly make you happy is if she left you. If you did manage somehow (don’t ask me how) to attract a decent woman, how would you cope? Your entire belief system of women being inferior and stupid would have to crumble and you’re both way too extreme in your views for your psyche to be able to take that without disintegrating, so in self-defense you would drive her away (assuming she hadn’t already fled screaming in horror).

wolfe - in what way is my comment “remarkably inaccurate”? Obviously another person does not have total control over how to make another person happy. A person him or herself does not even have total control over how to make themself happy, however, the general reason for being in a relationship (other than regular sex) is because each person makes the other person happy. Why bother having a relationship with someone who doesn’t even try to do that?

However, if you are in a relationship with someone, and you love them, then it is pretty much a given that the reason you are is because you already know best how to make that person happy.

With respect, that is indeed a remarkably incorrect statement to make.

You may well sincerely desire to make them happy, but you certainly don’t know how to do so, reliably.

Absofucklutely the dumbest comment ever! ‘
Most women have no clue and making someone miserable comes natural to them!

No and as this site has made clear, many women obviously don’t. Women are not psychic mindreaders, true, I am not implying that. However, if you are in a relationship with someone, and you love them, then it is pretty much a given that the reason you are is because you already know best how to make that person happy.

No, no, no. Women don’t grasp at all what makes men happy. E.g., (sorry for the crudity) many women probably think lots of blowjobs make a man happy. Nope.

Ladies, do not take wolfe literally. What he meant to say was that giving lots of blowjobs aren’t the only way to make a man happy.

Whew, that was a close one. diamatik saves the day!

You’re saying women automatically know how to treat a man well? No, I think it’s good advice –seriously — though desperately needs to be modified somewhat and tempered with a similar document for males.

they’ll just do whatever they know would make him happy without having to be told

No, no, no. Women don’t grasp at all what makes men happy. E.g., (sorry for the crudity) many women probably think lots of blowjobs make a man happy. Nope. It’s something much more simple that that article references, at least in passing.

I don’t think the genders understand one another. I think articles like that are a first step, albiet one grossly missing key things.

I actually can’t believe that it is real. I cannot comprehend what it must have been like to live in the 50s. Hopefully this sort of instruction wasn’t mainstream..maybe they only taught this sort of thing to women in convents? I don’t know..I’m in shock. I am upset for my grandmother, I never knew. I just never knew.

Seriously. It is ridiculous and unnecessary. Women don’t need to be told what to do if they love their partner, they’ll just do whatever they know would make him happy without having to be told. This is not to imply that I agree with the detailed extent given in the Good House Guide, which is clearly just advocating legal servitude.

I also think this might explain why the children of the 60s were so out of control. Can you imagine being born in the 40’s and witnessing a parental marriage of the 50’s? No wonder everyone in their mid 20’s in the 60’s were on acid.

@Heh, Billy, I was a stinking liberal too. I’m so ashamed; I was only 9 years old and my brain wasn’t fully formed. Fortunately, by 12, I grew to realize how the world worked.

@Female, that is good. On so many levels. Oh, it’s very sad to have a woman’s sexual satisfaction be denied. If true, that’s… horrible. But… a lot of it is true in my view. If a woman is staying at home, she should work to make her husband’s time there harmonious and happy. OF COURSE he should do the same for her — and that’s where that article falls grossly, grossly short.

IMO, that article needs some adjustment, and there needs to be a companion article for men on how to treat their wives. But I don’t see it as fundamentally flawed. Do you?

That was the best comment that a woman has ever posted here. Thank you so much for that link. If women today were still taught like that then perhaps the West would be a better place.

Poor Billy, glad you have made the change. I would hate to live with that in my past.

Good test. Like wolfe said a few of the questions were… odd.

Female, that was awesome. I’d seen it before and had it attached to the refrigerator. The missus misread my intent and thought it was a joke. I’ll have to print that up again.

I think that is normal.

I was a stinking liberal once upon a time.
Oh the shame.
I even thought feminism was a good cause. *Choke*

I come out as mildly libertarian and reasonably far right (5/10).

@Gwallan Good link. And yeah it’s more than right/left.

That said, I disagree fundamentally with a lot of the questions asked. For instance:

What’s good for the most successful corporations is always, ultimately, good for all of us.

Well, that’s obviously false. I happen to believe it’s OFTEN true — you might (and probably do) well differ — but to phrase the question in such a way is dishonest. No one sane can answer anything other than disagreement.

and

The businessperson and the manufacturer are more important than the writer and the artist.

In what sense? To our GDP sure. To our society, no. That said, I’ve met a lot of bad writers and artists and fewer bad businessmen and manufacturers. The state tends to subsidize garbage arts; it tends not to subsidize garbage business.

I would recommend trying this test: http://www.self-gov.org/quiz.html

It’s older, more well-established, and is probably neutral on left/right, unlike gwallan’s suggestion. (Yeah it might be biased, but I see its biases mostly in favor of freedom — libertarianism — as opposed to authoritarianism.).

Sadly, over the years, I’ve held steady in right wing views, but gradually drifted away from extreme libertarianism to a more centrist position. I’m not sure why.
