Maybe for a more peaciful answer. To start with, emo is hardly a genre of music. Wiether it be slang or not, if you look it up you’ll learn in an instant what it means. Secondly, you state you come without guns ablazing and claim you wish to keep calling each other a moron, yet the first thing you do is ridicule being called “emo” and twist it around. Now let’s say emo is only a music genre. Whats it based off of? Overly emotional crybabies that need to chill out. Take that fact, use some common since and stop giving everyone a hard time. Also, Hans brings up a valid point and logic seems to once again fails on you. No women allowed means no women allowed. Last time I checked that means, no women allowed. I share many of Dick’s beliefs for a couple of reasons. Often times he includes FACTS. Facts are as good as truth, there in no yes, no, maybe to it. Its like calling truth lies, it doesn’t work. This portion of what he writes may be small but is by fact and/or statistically right. Make a survey, I promise you the level of computer-dead women are off the charts compared to men. I honestly believe the other half of Dick’s writing is overexagurated satire and if not, his own opinon. But even with that belief, you state that most men state “yeah theyre retarted” yet I haven’t seen a fraction of intelligent posts by women. At least shitty posts by men grab ahold of something that matters like “I agree, they suck” which refers to the article. Instead, women come in and state everyone is an asshole and runs with no reason whatsoever. Way to make since. Even Dick’s opinons don’t look to overexagerated after that.

I don’t think I’m quite female enough to gush over your words: “You are probably another exception that proves the rule.” I won’t be reduced to going on and on about how you’re the nicest male I’ve ever met. However, I’ll admit I expected an insulting reply, and to read yours was relieving, to say the least.

While a chimp would probably be useless on a computer without training, that does not mean that it can’t be taught. Since I assume you were comparing the chimp to women, I’ll also say that, in this way, a female can be taught to effectively use computers.

Though, they’d still need to take an interest in learning, first.

My dad’s a programmer. So, of course, I was always interested in the strange machine that my dad sat in front of for hours, wondering what the hell it was, and how it worked, and why he was sitting in front of it so fixedly. I was.. what, five?

Yes, many women cannot figure out computers/machinery, etc. But, really, not many women care to try, because it’s just not in their way of thinking to try a lot of the time. I think that, were a female to take an interest in the computer, she could do almost/just as well as any male using a computer.

In this age, most kids are using computers, including young girls. Both my younger sisters are using computers. And, sure, maybe we don’t do the same things you apparently all-powerful males do on the computer, but hey. At least we can figure it out, and that’s more credit than Dick is giving us.

I’ll probably agree on the chess front. I’ve not met many women that play chess (well.) I really haven’t tried. I probably won’t try until someone puts me in front of a chess board and asks me to play. And, then, I probably will absolutely suck at the game. So what? Not all women suck at chess, and not all women suck at using computers and computing.

Perhaps with some men, its this general sense of falsehood and dishonesty that your gender seems to have at its core that makes us feel superior and hate you in the same breath.

Of course, someone is going to say it is, anyway, without any good reason for doing so.

So, instead, I’m merely going to ask this question, out of curiosity: For the males who share this man’s opinion, why do you have this point of view? I’m not trying to demand an answer, I’m just curious. I want to know why this opinion is so wide-spread.

See, I try to save people time from writing some large comment to this post, yet I know there will be several people who will comment anyway, saying I’m retarded, or don’t know my place, etc.

People, what’s the point? No matter how many people try to change the opinions of the males who believe themselves better, there will always be those people who believe otherwise, and there will always be the arguments. So, why continue the bickering?
