It doesn’t get any more stupid and ignorant than this. I am not in the Anglosphere, where your imbecilic drivel would be correct. I have an upper class older woman friend whom I ask about things like this; also a niece in Mexico City. They both agree that because how badly Mexican men treat women, a certain number of women, even very young ones, really are interested in older men of education and manners.
This proves once again how stupid it is possible to look when you start spouting opinions about things that you really know nothing about. Or, in this case judging the Third World Mexican culture by downtown Chicago.

I was just remembering. When I first came here, I noted the local women were giving me a lot of attention, the only comparison I can make is what a group of men do when a gorgeous woman with a large chest runs around with a short skirt, etc. As a male resident of the Anglosphere with no special degree of male beauty, I am not used to that sort of female attention.
One day, the upper class friend asked me if I thought that was because they assumed I had money. I told her, of course, it sure ain’t because I am young and handsome. Nor do I really have that much money but they may not know that.
She laughed, and said, no, that is not why they are all interested in you. Our house was under construction, so we moved the laundry sink out under the trees, and every morning I went out there and washed our dirty clothes for the day, by hand, and hung them on the clothesline, since my wife was busy and I had nothing else to do.
The women trotting by, taking kids to school, or running after tortillas for the day, saw that. And, the unbelievable news that this North American was washing the clothes by hand for his wife went all over town. My upper-class friend, who operates a pharmacy in her husband’s small private hospital, heard about if almost immediately from women who came in to buy medicine or see the doctor. It was literally the talk of the town, at least among the women.
For a woman who has to wash by hand clothes for maybe 5 kids, and for a husband who works at dirty jobs, the thought of a husband who does it for his wife is like men would react if they learned a guy’s woman did her housework in the nude, just in case her husband had the mood.
I realize only a superior man can understand this. Sorry to explode your dearie brain.

Another thing that women of the Anglosphere can’t grasp with their poor feminist brains.
Everywhere I go in the world, I encounter women of high intelligence. Not many of them, of course, because there really aren’t that many in the world. But, I have a bloodhound ability to find them right away everywhere I go.
Over the years I have learned that intelligent women really aren’t used to being respected for their intelligence, only for their bodies. And, when they realize a man does appreciate their intelligence, they sort of gravitate to him. No, he may not get any from them, they probably want the bad boys just like women everywhere.
But, once in a while an intelligent woman does indeed fall in love with a man who treats her with respect for her intelligence. I know a retired engineeer near here who had two kids by a 26 year old woman when he was 78 (when the last one was born.) He is intelligent and sophisticated and has traveled over the world. She is still with him and clearly respects and loves him.
Both of these women who were interested in me are very intelligent, and we have an excellent rapport based on their intelligence.
You Anglosphere women don’t have a clue. Nor do most men in the Anglosphere or there wouldn’t be any men left in the Anglosphere.

I feel I may understand this. What I feel is that when women give you admiring looks, its because not only do they like what they see (in your case helping out a woman, which I think is fine), but they imagine you to be everything else their entitled minds want…the guy who make over 100,000 K a year, who is a doctor or lawyer. Its when they learn that you don’t fit that “Mr. Big” image is when they lose interest.
Ive learned being differential to women’s needs is simply not enough to attract them.

Sorry, while are not 100% wrong like Michelle, you still do not grasp it, because you can’t grasp a totally different culture without any contact with it.
Many years ago, affluent families sent their children to another country for a year or two. They understood no one can understand their own culture until they understand another culture. In ancient times, the educated center of the world was in Africa. In 1900 more or less it was Germany. Today, it is, gasp, choke, the US.
Most people in the US have no grasp just how different life is in other societies. I remember a man on a Mexico forum who was sleeping with a married woman, and he described Mexico as the most evil, vile nation on the planet, because the law allowed her husband to refuse to give her a divorce so she could marry another man. He was so used to no-fault divorce with dearie fiends who commit adultery getting everything they want, that he could not grasp any other way.
My beloved niece in Mexico is a very intelligent woman. At one time, she was executive assistant to the president of the assembly. This corresponds to the Speaker of the House in Austin, Texas, if TX has a legislative house, since the population is similar between DF and Texas, no more than 25% difference, I think.
Now, she is a multi-lingual (that means more languages than two; thought I’d better explain that for the dearies) official of the International Relations office in DF.
She is not a poor country girl. We have been very close since she was 11 years old, and she is now 36. She told me ten years ago she did not ever plan to date a Mexican man again. *** Europeans and North Americans treat women so much better. ***
Her sister dated men with high income, such as successful dentists and a symphony musician with a chalet in the mountains. She also dumped a lot of them for not treating her well. Money was not an issue; respect was.
Here in rural Mexico, women are sort of treated like dearies in the Anglosphere claim they are treated, but really how they treat men in the Anglosphere. Not very well.
When a woman marries here, she well knows her future will be difficult. Her husband will come home drunk a lot, with part of his modest income spent on booze, and if she so much as blinks, she gets a poke in the chops. Her day will be spent in heavy work. There are no prepared foods here. Everything is from scratch, including the condiments which have to be dried, minced, and mixed and cooked.
Wash clothes by hand by the hour. In some cases, carry water long distances to do it.
And, the majority of women have to keep their mouths shut while their husbands have mistresses; more of his limited income gone.
And, all the time, no respect at all. He will buy an expensive pickup and put in a big stereo, while she washes clothes by hand for a large family.
Women here not only don’t receive respect from the men. Other women don’t kiss their rear-ends. Here, if a woman gets knocked up, because she trusted her boy friend to marry her, and he calls her ho and dumps her, her future is grim. Other women don’t say, “you go, grrrrl.” They also say, “HO!”
So, being respected by a man, in this case a foreign man, IS INDEED A BIG DEAL TO THEM. To you, in your country, it may not be that important, but here it is, especially to intelligent women.
My upper-class friend was born and raised in near poverty. Her dad assembled shoes in a factory. When she was 14 (see comment elsewhere about the 14 year old who fell in love with me) she fell madly in love with an older teacher. He was intelligent, mature, and treated the girls with respect. She knew there was no future with him, but she vowed she was going to marry a man like that.
When she reached marrying age, her mother was really worried. She said, “Daughter, we are poor. There is no way you can ever marry a man like that.” She said she would prefer never to marry.
Well, she has been married to an educated, sophisticated, intellectual medical doctor for over 30 years. Her sisters have a totally different life, both materially and intellectually than she does.
In both cases, the 14 year old girl who fell in love with me, and the gorgeous woman who was presented as a potential mistress, she says she honestly believes it is not just money, but the idea of respect from an intellectual, sophisticated, mature man.
Let me admit something up front. In the Anglosphere, this would be very rare. The last case of a successful May-December marriage I can think of in the US was that Supreme Court Justice some decades ago, who married a 20 year old woman who was distraught when he died. Their marriage was an intellectual blending of the minds, something US dearies can’t understand.
Part of this issue is it is de rigueur in the Anglosphere that boys are raised believing they don’t really even deserve the air they breathe. They are told from the day they are born until the day they die that they are such worthless creatures no woman will ever allow them to work themselves to death for her, and when a woman does grab him, he is told she made a terrible mistake, and he’d better kiss her arse every day so she will keep him around.
So, we assume only by making a lot of money will a woman be attracted to us, that we have no inherent value of our own. Note that when I realized women were interested in me here in Mexico that I assumed that it had to be my money. My friend set me straight.
So, what you are doing is attempting to remind me of my lack of value to all women. Good try, but still no cigar. It isn’t like that here.
Oh, I forgot. Here a mistress, called a casita, doesn’t expect much money anyway. Fifty or seventy-five dollars a week would take her breathe away. Nor does she expect a big house, which is why mistresses are called ‘casitas’, or small houses.
Fair warning. The corrections or put-downs directed at me are doomed to fail, because they are wrong. I am full of stories and facts just like these. I can keep on until Dick tells me to shut my stupid mouth.

You’ve got to love that good, old-fashioned Latin American machismo which places heavy emphasis on male intellectual and physical superiority! A woman who is truly marianista in both thought and action certainly knows how to treat a man with the respect that is his god-given birthright. One lowly woman operating within the cultural framework of machismo is more valuable than a thousand Protestant Anglo-Saxon females who have been heavily indoctrinated in feminist ideology.

However, also important in the upbringing of the young women in Mexico is the women and children they see daily while walking to the store for food, begging for money to live on. They have lesbian feminists here, too, but the message is clear. If a woman doesn’t please her husband, she may be on the street begging, too. They might agree with the beliefs of the lesbian feminists, but they know their future depends upon their husband.
My view, speaking strictly for myself, since Dick speaks very well for himself, the value of MABTW, is to counter our cultural bias that DABTM. (Dearies are better than men.) We men have had this ’sugar and spice and everything nice’ pounded into us for decades, and many of us believe it. Dick does a good job of correcting the hoax.

Like red Corvettes, Mexico isn’t for everyone. But, part of our conditioning as wimps in the US is the belief that life ends at the border. Many men have learned life begins for real men at the border.
The problem is earning a living, of course. There are US; Canada; and UK companies which send skilled people to their facilities in Mexico. The universities here have a terrible time producing technical degrees, so there are opportunities.
My niece is part of a colony of North American and European men who came to Mexico and decided they never wanted to go home again.
IF you fit in and find a niche, it can be the best thing that ever happened to you. If you don’t fit in, you won’t be here long.
My niece’s first ‘husband’, a European, told her right up front, “I could never have a beautiful woman like you in my home country.”
